Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) comes with a so-called dewdrop notch display. The notch looks similar to a drop of dew that’s why it’s called like this or this observation of nature inspired the design idea. Whatever the cause is, it looks pretty nice, especially for the price scale. However, the downside is, there is no place for a front flash or LED notification light. Some phones pack the front flash in the screen and we have also seen LED notification light on the bottom. But this is not the case of this phone. So, we are missing some useful features. The display is HD+ IPS without any protection like Gorilla Glass. The backside is made of plastic, but it has a polished ceramic-like texture which looks pleasant especially in the Aurora Blue version.

The device comes with a Snapdragon 450 chipset, 3 GB RAM, Adreno 506 GPU with octa-core CPU. These are the solid performance specs for entry-level low-mid range phones. Multitasking, app usage, 4G or WiFi browsing should be lag free. Apps that require high-quality graphics should run smoothly with low graphics settings. 4000 mAh battery is a pretty good deal for the price. There is no fast charging, but it comes with a 10W charger which should charge the phone slightly faster than a regular low-budget phone charger.

Both front and back camera quality is decent when it comes to capturing photos or video recording in the daylight. The back camera brightness looked a little down sometimes and the colors were slightly less vivid. We have seen higher quality shots by Samsung Galaxy M10 and Samsung Galaxy M20. Low-light shots of Y7 Pro (2019) is ok.

This smartphone comes with Android Oreo version 8.1, Face Unlock 2.0 option, OTG support, dual SIM with dual 4G, 32 GB internal storage, FM Radio etc. features as well. There is no fingerprint sensor.
